How licensing works.

CacaoIQ is licensed to your organization one year at a time, for an agreed number of seats.

From evaluation to license

  1. Evaluation

    A free evaluation comes first. The evaluation page lists what it includes.

  2. Quote

    Send how many people will use CacaoIQ and the systems they run. The quote comes back by email.

  3. Annual program license

    One year of use for each seat, renewed annually.

What the license covers

  • Your organization and its seats

    The license isn’t locked to one computer. Your organization’s name is stamped on every result made with it.

  • Checked offline

    Each seat comes as a signed license file, and CacaoIQ checks it on your computer. It needs no account, no license server and no internet connection.

  • Renewal

    A renewal is a new set of seat files, one per seat. Load each under About, Change license, or on the license screen once the old license has ended; there is nothing to reinstall.

  • When a license ends

    CacaoIQ shows the license screen instead of the application. If a run is in progress, the trait being analyzed finishes and is saved. The other traits in that run don’t start. Run them again after you load a new license. Files already saved in your results folder stay there; past runs open in CacaoIQ again once you load a new license.

  • The agreement

    The End User License Agreement opens after you load your license, the first time CacaoIQ starts. It covers who may use the license and states that your data stays yours.
